Not yo average avo toast

Yes I am super cliche and love avocado toast just as much as the girls who love taking pictures in front of the pink wall in Los Angeles.

And no, if you do not like avocado toast.. We can't be friends.

I do love to spice up any average recipe though. So I've included some ways to give your avocado toast a kick.

#1. Rye bread, smashed avo, peas, olive oil, sliced almonds.

Inspired by this amazing meal @ turf living in Vancouver, British Columbia. Also pictured: coconut yogurt strawberry toast, and @erinireland vegan banana bread.... (game changer)

#2. Sourdough bread, smashed avo, pickled beats, sprouts.

#3. Spelt bread (or any bread of choice) with smashed avo, olive oil, sun-dried tomatoes, cashew ricotta (optional) and drizzled with balsamic glaze.

(still perfecting a photo.... coming soon)

#4. Cinnamon Raisin Bread or Bagel with smashed avo, and drizzled maple syrup and topped with trail mix or granola (I know it sounds weird but oh baby, its good)

(photo coming soon)

#5. Classic Avo Toast.

Tips:

- Make sure you have a good bread. Freshly baked sourdough is my favorite.

- On savory recipes or classic avocado toast...Try topping with nutritional yeast (taste like a parmesan cheese alternative but very high in Vitamin B12)

- Take risks. Mix it up. Get fancy. Have fun.

Your welcome.
